Avoid Mentioning This During a Job Interview
Whether this is your first or fifth job interview, you can always improve how you present yourself to a potential employer. There is countless advice and tips out there but for this brief blog, we’d like to share just one: Avoid talking about salary…unless the interviewer introduces the subject.
You might ask “isn’t that an important factor or the most important factor?” You’re right but it’s all a matter of timing and place. The main purpose of an interview is to establish a good relationship or rapport with your potential employer and asking about salary can easily disrupt that process. And plus…it can be really awkward.
But if an employer does ask about salary, how should you respond?
If you’d like to know, you can ask Nadiah Hishamuddin this Saturday at Mavens’ Hive, Kiulap (22nd January, 10-11AM).
